ABOUT AFWERX

AFWERX is a United States Air Force program with the goal of fostering a culture of innovation within the service. Encompassing a number of programs supported with relatively small funding amounts, the initiative aims to bypass red tape and bring new entrepreneurs into Air Force programs.

ABOUT GSI TECHNOLOGY

Founded in 1995, GSI Technology, Inc. is a leading provider of semiconductor memory solutions. The company recently launched radiation-resistant memory products for extreme environments in space and Gemini Associative Processing Unit (APU), a memory-centric design that offers significant performance benefits for various AI applications. The Gemini APU architecture removes the I/O bottleneck between processors and memory arrays by performing massively parallel searches directly into the memory array where data is stored. The new architecture delivers performance-to-power improvements over CPU, GPU and DRAM for applications such as image sensing, speech recognition, e-commerce recommender systems and more. Gemini is an ideal solution for edge applications with a scalable form factor, small footprint, and low power consumption where quick and accurate responses are critical.
